He completed his post-graduate training in Oral Pathology in 1998 at The University of Adelaide and gained his PhD in 2008. In 2007, he completed the Fellowship examination in Oral Pathology with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. His main research interest is in regard to toxicities of cancer treatment, particularly the pathobiology of alimentary tract mucositis. Internationally, he is a member of the Mucositis Study Group of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer and recently he has been involved in the development of updated international guidelines for mucositis management. He has engaged widely with both the dental and medical professions. He is past President of the International Society of Oral Oncology and is previous Chair of the Faculty of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Richard is currently a practitioner member of the Dental Board of Australia and also chairs the Board\u2019s Equivalence Assessment Panels for internationally qualified dental specialists. David completed his Bachelor qualification in 1991, graduating with first class honors and four academic awards in his final year. Prior to this he had accepted a commission from the Royal Australian Navy and on graduation took up his position as a Dental officer and served at numerous locations in Australia and with the United Nations in Rwanda. David commenced his full time Masters study in 1996 and graduated in 1998. After completing his specialist training he served his remaining time with the Navy in Canberra and Brisbane.  David has been an examiner and lecturer at both undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Queensland Dental School and the Griffith University Dental School and  he has lectured extensively on Prosthodontics and Dental Implants throughout Australia and internationally. Prof. Miletic is also Adjunct Senior Scientist at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, The Houston Center for Biomaterials and Biomimetics (USA) and Visiting Professor at University of Belgrade School of Dental Medicine (Serbia). She has more than 20 years of clinical practice, research and teaching in dentistry, particularly restorative dentistry and endodontics. Her research interests involve all aspects of restorative dental materials and more recently innovations in dental education. Prof Miletic has more than 100 bibliographic references (scientific papers, book chapters, conference presentations, invited talks), co-authored 4 national patents and supervised 9 completed PhD and 1 MPhil theses. She is currently supervising 6 HDR students. Prof Miletic is an expert evaluator for the European Research Agency and editorial board member in three leading dental journals. She is also Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials (FADM) and Senior Fellow of Advanced HE (SFHEA). He has a long history of teaching oral and maxillofacial radiology at several universities, including The University of Western Australia, The university of Sydney, The University of Hong Kong and Griffith University. He also contributed to training the Western Australian radiology registrars of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. As an invited speaker, Bernard has presented more than 150 lectures to the dental and medical professions across internationally. He was Vice Chairman and member of the Scientific Committee of the 33rd ADA Congress. Bernard is author of the Atlas of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (Wiley-Blackwell 2017). He is also author of the radiology chapter of the 6th edition of Lindhe and Lang\u2019s Clinical Periodontology and Implant Dentistry (Wiley-Blackwell, 2015). He is a contributing author for Zygomatic Implants (Springer 2020) and the Glossary of Preventive Dentistry and Periodontology (Quintessence Publishing 2015). Bernard has also authored several other publications, including articles for various professional Australian and international organisations, which included the radiology guide for the Australian Dental Association (2019). Bernard was the inaugural President of the Australian Academy of Dento-maxillofacial Radiology (2019). Bernard completed his specialist training with the world-renowned Professor Michael Pharoah at the University of Toronto, where he was the first oral and maxillofacial radiology registrar to win the prestigious Harron Award and Scholarship. Over the last forty years he has been involved in dental research, clinical dentistry, private practice, university and hospital based dental clinics and been a director and board member of numerous dental associations and colleges. His previous positions include being appointed as the inaugural Colgate Chair of Dental General Practice Dentistry, Chief Dental Officer for Queensland Health, President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Dental Association, and CEO of the Australian Dental Association Queensland Branch. He is a Fellow and past president of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, President of Section VIII of the International College of Dentists, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Professor Meyers was a long standing member of the ADA Dental Instruments, Materials and Equipment Committee and remains a member of the editorial board of The Australian Dental Journal and several other international journals. He is an external examiner at several dental schools and examiner for the Australian Dental Council. Throughout his career as an academic and clinician Ian has developed extensive experience in comprehensive patient care, diagnosis and management of worn and broken down dentition, geriatric and aged care dentistry, adhesive restorative dentistry and dental materials, and the management of patient\u2019s in general dental practice through minimum intervention dentistry.
